~online shopping anyone?~

Bismillah, Assalamualaikum everyone :)

You should know that I love online shopping right? :) Anyone who've tried doing it would be addicted. Alhamdulillah, now that my sister has opened an online shopping site, Shippi Shoppe Online. It is more of a collaboration actually, though she did most of the hard work, and I must give her credit for that. Thankfully she's the creative type. Well, enough 'bout us, let's go drool over the items at this site, we call it Shippi Shoppe Online.

You know what, I just love the new shawls, they're prefect for special events, such as birthday party or kenduri kahwin. Yup, they're just perfect. Nowhere else can you get these special designs (not from my observation).

And the preloved stuff, they're mostly seldomly worn or not even worn yet!

So don't wait, follow us at Shippi Shoppe Online now! :) Like us out on Facebook too to get the latest updates.

Wassalamualaikum.

Yeap, this year I'd be 30. End of January, not far ahead. I think I'm ready for it. But thinking I don't yet have any children, I don't want to be 30. Not for any other reason. Just that, full stop.

Shawl Gap, blouse and skirt Zara, bag Prada

Shawl Somerset Bay, dress ThePoplook, jacket Zara,
wedges Payless, bag YSL, necklace Topshop

Shawl Arzu, stripe short and pants Zara, shoes DKNY

Shawl Zara Man, top Dorothy Perkins

Shawl, top, boho skirt all Zara

Shawl Zara, linen bolero Laura Ashley, coral top F21
So that is all. Wishing you a Happy New Year! Alhamdulillah we get to live another year.

Salam.

~beijing fashion sense~

Assalamualaikum fellas,

Well, it's not really Beijing's, by my fashion sense to be exact. I just love mixing colours anywhere anytime. I don't really adore as much when it comes to Autumn/Winter fashions, as they tend to go towards nude, black, grey and sorts. Very natural, earthy toned colours. It's not like I don't wear them at all, it's just that mix and match can be quite fun!

Pashmina from Star Parade, Alor Setar, coral (almost red) cardigan Zara,
leopard printed top Promod, jeans DKNY, shoes LV

Floral shawl Paul Smith, jacket Esprit, turquoise pants Zara

Leopard printed shawl Queensbay Mall, Penang, jacket and striped top Zara,
cowboy pants Ralph Lauren

Pashmina Gurney Plaza, Penang, neon yellow top DKNY, others repeated

My favourite things (Gucci bag, Esprit jacket, Zara gloves)
taking a rest on the Great Wall (what am I talking?)

Seeing these pictures make me wanna go on vacation again :)

Wassalam.

~the kurungs~

Assalamualaikum bellas,

Do you remember that I've mentioned in a post about me sending textiles to the tailor before raya puasa? Check out that entry.

I HAVEN'T yet received them, yet wearing them. The tailor said that the one doing embroidery was badly ill, like cancer or something. So, at the last minute, this is the result.

me in the red/ orange kurung with batik print

The fabric was bought at a batik outlet in Shah Alam, and I'm pleased with the result, simple yet colourful. And I love the shawl, which I bought from ShawlbyVsnow.

me in the pink/ blue kurung
The fabric was bought in Hadyai, I personally mixed and matched the textile and made into a modern baju kurung. What do you think? It's quite simple, and Alhamdulillah the tailor managed to finished sewing it in time.

Below is my kurung during the visit to our kampung on raya haji:

~online daydreaming~

Assalamualaikumwarahmatullah,
Been dreaming of buying Dr Martens' high boots. I never knew that they're so stylish and colorful and comes in lots of design! I only knew them thru the Lookbook email notifications. Then only I checked them out. Haha. Noob! Maybe I'm too old?

I have those Timberland signature yellow boots (like the image below), but they're not as comfortable as my gold Louis Vuitton boots, which I don't think they often make. Both of them have traveled with me around the world. Can I have a new pair of boots? Lets start.. daydreaming..

Source: Google

These are only a few of my favourites. I don't know if they're comfortable though. Anyone can help? Cos the price's quite reasonable.

I'm currently into blue. And this one has no lace, kinda different.

Floral and paisley's print would always be in my wishlist, anytime.

This is not actually my style, but I think they're cool.

Always love animal prints. Love the cheetah one's better.

Shiny. I think I'm bold enough :)
Yeah, I know. They're kind of the same style, but I said I like boots, and the most relevant to our country is ankle high boots. People would start staring if we wear knee high boots (or halfway to the knee), though they're actually beatiful, such as these:

Even the way they tie the laces' are different. Sleek.

Black with roses, classic.
These pair of boots is for those who haven't yet worn Dr Martens, they're light, cute and comfy looking to start with. Suitable for our casual day in Malaysia too!
I am soooo gonna buy them (read it like a bimbo- please excuse me). They're all beautiful. But buying shoes online might not be easy, I don't know the size. Although they do provide size guide, but when it comes to shoes, I need to try them out myself. Hmm,  maybe that reason would save me money :) But maybe Mister Partner would like me to have one? OK, that would be a way to stop daydreaming and make it a reality. Hah!

Ciao!

~beijing trip~

Assalamualaikum,
Just a quick post, since it's been soooo long since I posted. I'll be off to Beijing next week, with Mister Partner and the rest of my colleagues. It's our office trip :) Yay! Ehem, alhamdulillah.. We only need to pay for Mister Partner's part. So I've been playing around, thinking (already!) what I should be wearing. It's gonna be the end of autumn there. So here's a sketch of what I'd be wearing (without the coat):

Note that this is not a fashion designer's work. Uhuk..
So, there. Bye :)

~blog influence~

Assalamualaikum,

I started blogging since end of last year. At that time, I was encouraged (indirectly) thru blogwalking the blogs related to fashion. At first, I frequently read blogs from London, USA and Australia. Then I found out about Malaysia, narrowing to bloggers wearing hijab. I was so amazed because the bloggers created such a trend, and their fashion spread like fire. Yep, the ‘lilit-lilit’ hijab style, the skirts, the turban, the palazzos, the harem pants, and so many more. I’ve learnt so many fashion terms (though I didn’t always remember them).

I want to point out that blogs (bloggers) give huge influence to the public. From fashion blog, I started following Bashtiah, just because she followed me first (no, I don’t simply follow just anyone, I checked them out first). She got a lot of writing in her blog. So that was new. Fashion bloggers mostly put images (which I like very much – the professional ones).  Since then, I got to know skills in writing.  I’ve never skipped her entry J She got me begging for more. I especially love her story about her job as a swimming instructor. Her writing’s serious but funny at the same time. And she’s just started donning the hijab like a few months back. Her followers haven’t reach to a thousand yet, but I’m sure she’s going to achieve that in a matter of time.

And just recently, I started reading Namee’s blog. I found out thru Bashtiah’s entry. Wow, she’s quite a fast-turned-famous-blogger. Thousands of followers in just 8 months! Her writing is somehow straightforward in an indirect way. Ah, I can’t put that into words. But she got me reading her entries from the day she started blogging J And she got me laughing out loud too.

The two bloggers got me distracted from fashion a little bit. It’s because each of them are a simple girl, always reminding us to be modest and humble (instead of being vain). Because I changed from reading fashion blogs to ‘opinion’ blogs, I feel a bit ashamed, yes I do. I think I may be vain too, showing off my outfit. But I think it depends on the intention itself. Being vain or not, I just want to compile what I wore in any day. I don’t include my face because I think that’s not necessary (no offense to those who do, everybody's have their own opinion). People would know who I am, and that’s not what I want. So, do you think that’s vain or what? Conflict, conflict.

This is just my opinion. I may start reading other types of blogs next time around, right? J I don’t totally ignore fashion blogs, I still like them as much as before. It’s just that reading opinion blogs got my attention more. Fashion blogs got my attention thru the great pictures J So, no offense.

p/s: See, I can’t do opinion blogging. Do you know the conclusions here? #All jumbled up#
