~preloved preview~

I have been delaying on this preloved sale thing. Been scared should there be no one to buy. But it’s worth the shot. Do comment on what you like and what you would prefer to see / buy. Below is a preview of the few of my preloved, which basically don’t fit me LOOSEly anymore. They’re tight on me now. Haha, biasala kot sebab orang kata kalau kawin naik badan kan. Saja nak sedapkan hati.. But gaining weight is not bad at all, from 44 kg when I was 20, then 48 kg when I was 25, and now.. maintaining 52 kg at 29! Kinda ok I think. Have experienced 54 kg max. But 54 kg made me less active, more sleepy and lazy, which ended in stress, and tiredness.

So guys, wait for it ya, been editing since last weekend. But was delayed as I was in KL, sending some stuff to my aunt there.

~the honeykoyuki style~

Honeykoyuki or better known as Fatin Liyana was one of the few bloggers which made me want to create a blog myself.

Fatin, I copied your lovely pic. Tumpang lalu..

Her stories are always exaggerated (in a good way), making us blog hoppers to read her every single word. What I also like about her is her sense of fashion, pretty much different from most of us, but oh so suit her! The combination of colours, matched or unmatched, she can work them all. There’s a comment in my sis FB, have a look:

Isn’t that a big fashion influence? Well, we doesn’t wear exactly like she does, but was inspired (not by her only, but by all hijabi bloggers. Honestly, I started with hers). That's all guys.

~of english~

I was reminded yesterday, during a seminar at my workplace that English is very important. As a government servant, I seldom had the opportunity to use English. Our letters, memos, are all in Bahasa Melayu. I considered myself as an A student when it comes to English, even when I had the strictest teacher (when it comes to marks). I know I’m not the best in my school, but at least I’m good in my exams. During the university, all sorts of notes, assignments, and lectures are in English. I like it that way, except when it comes to presenting. I tend to forget what I should say, hence comes the use of palm notes (small notes on our palm?). I learnt the importance of soft skills. When I started working for the first time, I was taken aback when I learnt that we’d be using Bahasa Melayu. As times past, I begin to learn how Bahasa Melayu is used in letters, paperwork or memos – the way you put the words to convey certain messages. But still, in my profession, in IT, my reference books are always in English, sometimes it’s hard to translate an IT term in English to BM. But we use quotes or italic when using English in our paperwork. I always thought that creating a blog in English is not wrong, I’m learning myself. My blog is for me to learn English, in writing. Talking-in-English-wise, that’s a thing I have to learn offline. Haha. Ciao!

~kawaii donashi~

Happy birthday to Justin Timberlake (31 Jan), and ME J yup, my birthday was yesterday, turning already-29, and I celebrated in the most simple way, cause it was a Monday. BUMMER! But all in all, it was one of my favorites. In the morning I had to go to a management meeting, until one. Then I went to Tesco during lunch break with my friend, which ended up in a massive traffic. But I was so excited that I get to buy Donashi’s (Donuts in the form of shushis - I like) from Big Apple to celebrate with colleagues of my office level. I never tried one, and it quite surprised me (yeah, the taste is the same with them we call DONUTS), hence taste-wise: very nice, appearance wise: extremely kawaiii. So, here’s a pic, you’ll feel like drooling, but won’t have the heart to eat them. So then, celebrated with colleagues in the office during working hours (ahah, we always do that on birthdays).
ain't them cute?? - pic from iphone cam
Later in the evening, I went to play badminton at a primary school nearby with Mister Partner and his sisters. I think I’m getting fitter from playing badminton as I was not that tired (always hard to catch a breath before), I think Mister Partner was much more tired. Cos he was bullied by us girls, hekhek. After that we went to pray Maghrib at the mosque, and then straight to dinner. Well, dinner was a non-candlelight theme, non-fancy-restaurants, only the food court. Yup, the food court, which has an amazing Kuetiau Th’ng I’ve ever tasted. Delicious to the bones (I made that up, hadn’t I, the bone thing?). Every taste into my mouth makes me (and Mister Partner) praising the makcik. Terer betoi makcik tu. By the way, do you guys know what is kuetiau th’ng? Ok, pronounce it as Teng (as in ben in burn - did you get what I mean?). It is like kuetiau soup with chicken, except that it has lots of black pepper powder in it (so be cautious of its extra hot taste, try consuming it with green chilli- we call it cabai melaka).  Did I mention that my birthday was also my wedding anniversary? J Turning 3 yesterday. Hmm, maybe I should get a better celebration this weekend. I love you Mister Partner~~

~caring labels~

I am always conscious on taking care of my clothes. Be it washing, drying or ironing. Here are a few guides on garments caring instructions, learn the symbols J

I mostly dry my favorite clothes using a hanger under the shades. Drying under the shades instead of direct sunlight surely make a difference. Under the sunlight, the clothes may be too dry, the garment becomes hard. Under the shade, well, you will be satisfied with the result, a soft texture, almost like new (if it is not wrinkled). As for bleaching, I only use it (Vanish only, never the conventional bleach) to remove stains on Mister Partner’s working clothes (he operates machines sometimes). I send to the dry cleaners for most of my silk clothes (blouse from Zara mostly), cause the washing instructions says so. But if I’m too lazy or stingy to go to the dry cleaners, then I’ll wash using only Softlan with lots of water. Wash in it like just a few dip in the water (never soak- cause I believe the textures will be sucked by the water, haha, no I'm not joking), and line dry. But that’s if the clothes has one plain colour only. If it has a few colours, then I’d be worried, cause the colours might ruin the clothes. So, I'll send them for dry cleaning. But I don't think I have a silk blouse with various colour imprints, so I save on dry cleaning cost. That's all from me, tata..
