~london’s outskirt~

Assalamualaikum,
Our flight was from Penang International Airport to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. And we have to wait roughly 2 hours for our next transfer flight to Heathrow Airport, London. Arriving in London late afternoon (6.30 pm local), we only managed to have a pretty late dinner next to our hotel, the Thistle Marble Arch on Bryanston Street.
The 23rd June was when we decided to go to Bristol and Bath, and also the Stonehenge. But the taxi driver wasn’t at all familiar with all those places. He only relied on his GPS (which is not that useful, because there is no Stonehenge in the search).
About Bristol, it’s an old city with some modern twists in it. We get to go around the University of Bristol, and the buildings are so brilliant, with subtle yellowish colored walls, and kind of reminded me of Harry Potter’s place (there was a house which even looked like his parents’ old house). The flowers were blooming, so beautiful and it never keeps us from being amazed. SubhanAllah.

As for Bath, we only managed to go around the city and get stuck in traffic. Bath is the oldest city in England; the roads are so small, causing traffic to pile. But it was all worth it. Though we didn’t manage to get to see the Roman Baths (which we planned), but going around the town allowed us to see the very old yet stunningly beautiful buildings, the bridge, the river, the shops, etc.

Later on we get back home, using a different road from the one we came. And luckily, Alhamdulillah, we found the Stonehenge on our way back. The ticket was GBP7.50 per head to enter the place. Stonehenge is one of the world’s 7 wonders. The view is very scenic. The Stonehenge locates at a wide plain of green grass, making it more beautiful. These pictures should tell more J

Heading back, we went to Selfridges, which is a shopping complex. There was a sale, and I got myself a white blouse, which is on 60% sale J Then, we went to Khan’s restaurant nearby the Princes’ Square, Bayswater. That was my second time there. The last time I was there was with a bigger family of mine, my brother, uncle, and cousins. The day ended in a tiring yet very worthwhile.
